Meredith Lodging and Oksenholt Capital are joining forces funding Lincoln City Police K9 Project

November 5, 2019

Meredith Lodging and Oksenholt Capital are joining forces and launching a matching funds campaign with the goal of fully funding the Lincoln City Police K9 Project. The matching fund campaign will last between now and the end of 2019.

Meredith Lodging Vice President of Operations Jordan Grant commented, “We all benefit from this important program and Meredith Lodging wants to help jump-start donations between now and the end of the year. We continue to focus our investments in our local communities where Meredith Lodging Owners have homes and where our employees live and work.”

The mission of the K-9 Project is to promote a positive relationship between the Lincoln City Police Department and the community through the education of the city on the modern day use of the Law Enforcement K9.

“We are honored to help to get this project to the finish line and join Meredith Lodging in matching community donations between now and December 31st. The police work hard to keep our community safe and statistics show the many benefits of a police department utilizing a K9 Unit to help reduce crime,” commented Oksenholt Capital CEO Jon Oksenholt.

Once fully funded, the program will focus on covering the cost of K9 handler certifications and courses, as well as provide for necessary equipment for the housing and transport of the dog, such as K9 vests, transportation equipment for the dog in Police cars and a kennel for housing.

“We are grateful to Meredith Lodging and Oksenholt Capital for teaming up to help us get this project fully funded,” commented project-lead Officer Holly Blakely. “We have $20,000 left to raise and with this generous matching donation, Meredith Lodging and Oksenholt Capital will help us get there even faster.”

Ready to make your donation to support this important project? Donations can be made by visiting the projects website at https://lincolncityk9.com or via email at [email protected].
